Maybelline Flamingo Pink

Hi guys!

Today I want to show you one of my last bought polishes: Maybelline Flamingo Pink 170.
This is a gorgeous bright pink crème:

This are 2 coats but 3 coats would've been better imo. The brush is really nice and round at the end, so you can apply this polish perfectly and neat around your cuticles.

I can not say much about the longivity, because I'm wearing acrylics (as most of you know by now) and with acrylic nails the polish lasts much longer. But I'm curious if the polish is gonna last up to 7 days (without any tipwear or whatsoever) as Maybelline promises.

See how really Flamingo Pink it is?? I can't stop staring at my nails! :)

I really like how -almost- neon pink it is in daylight...

Ah well... In case you haven't noticed: I'm very fond of pinks :)

Most of the time I get bored after a couple of days, and try some Konading... But maybe this time I'll try one of the crackle polishes I got a while ago.

I'm afraid everyone has had it with Crackle polishes, because you see it everywhere!
Still there are brands with upcoming crackle-collections, but I haven't tried them much.
I only tried the white crackle polish from China Glaze: Lightning Bolt but I'm going to swatch it again because I think it's much nicer with short nails. So this one is on my swatch list.  But ofcourse only if you guys still want to see crackle polishes :)

So let me know ok?

Have a nice evening!

Love,
Kim

BM20 Stripes...

Hi!

What's more fun than clothes with matching nailpolish?? :)

Today I'm wearing a white/blue striped dress with a dark blue skinny jeans and I thought it was fun to match my nails with it...

This is what I came up with it:

Basecolor: China Glaze White Out
Stamping color: Essence Deep Blue Sea
Topcoat: Seche Vite

Ohhhhh... I HATE the old BundleMonster-plates!!! Grrr... !!! The designs are too small for my (already very short) nails, and not only that, my nails are also too wide for the images so they still don't fit!

See?? The images are too small... I might use the full designs as French Manicure designs next time!

I'm jealous at the people with smaller and narrower nailbeds, who fit the full images :(
Luckily the images of the new plates are a bit bigger.

Ah well... It was nice to have a (sort of) matching manicure with my clothes :)

Have a nice evening!

Love,
Kim

Foil Pedicure!

Hi everybody!

Let me start by warning you guys: this post contains pictures of feet! If you don't like feet, skip this post and don't watch  :)

Last year transfer foils had my interest, and so I bought a lot of them :) (see a picture of my foil stash below).

This is my first foil Pedicure... The foil I used is called Passion Pink:

I made the mistake to put on the glue on both feet at the same time, so the glue on the 2nd feet sat too long... That's why my tiny toe is the worst of all. I started foiling with my right foot, ended with my left foot, and so this toe was the last toe, and eventually the worst...

Next time, I'll be more careful with putting on the glue, because I now see I skipped some corners...

And ofcourse it's a bummer to see how shiny and metallic the foil is, until you put on your topcoat :(
It crackles the foil, and after the topcoat has dried, the crackles disappear a bit, but you can still see them.

Maybe next time I'll put on a very tiny coat of acrylic or gel, to see how that reacts with the foil.
It might prevent crackling... Worth a try!?

This is the glue & foil I have used
(I took this picture without flash but under lamplight, so not color accurate)

And last but not least: a picture of my foil stash :)

Do you like foils? And would you like to see more Pedicures?

Love,
Kim

Bundle Monster 215 Crackle effect?

Hi everybody!

Today I want to show you my véry short nails with two Bundle Monster-manicures.

The first manicure is the manicure I'm wearing right now:

Basecolor: China Glaze For Audrey
Stamping polish: Color Club Where's The Soirée
Topcoat: Seche Vite

See how the color matches my shirt? :)

It looks a bit like Crackle-effect. Yesterday my friend actually thought it was one of the Crackle Nailpolishes I own :)

Because my nails are a lot shorter now, I finally "fit" the full nail designs of the Bundle Monster-plates.
So before I put on the Giraffe-design, I tried the Snakeskin design too:

I think it's okay, but not that great. I liked the Giraffe-design better!

Unfortunately the stamps are not really opaque enough in my opinion. So Color Club Where's The Soirée might not the best black to stamp with :( I also think this design looks better with a olive green/black of grey/silver combo. Ah well... Next time!

Okay, that was it for today...

Have you tried these designs yet? What are your favourite (new) Bundle Monster designs?

Have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Kim

New OPI & Maybelline polishes

Good evening everyone!

Today I wanted to let you know that I got 2 polishes from the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean-collection:

Steady As She Rose

Sparrow Me The Drama

I guess everyone already knows about this collection which contains 6 pastel-colored polishes, so I'm not going to tell you stuff you already know :)

And today I bought 2 polishes of Maybelline Forever Strong Pro. These polishes really seem to last up to 7 days of wear. Who doesn't want that! Worth a try, I guess... Kruidvat, (which I often call my local beautysupplier because I almost come there every week) has a great offer at the moment:
For my foreign readers: Nailfestival, meaning buy 1, get 1 free :)

A great offer, don't you think? Unfortunately almost all Catrice and Essence polishes were already sold out!
Too bad for me! But then I saw the Maybelline polishes...

I bought the 2 colors in the middle of the 1st and the 2nd rows. The upper one is called 135 Nude Rose and is a beautiful pinkish nude color. The bottom one is called 170 Flamingo Pink and is a beautiful candy pink.

These polishes were €7,99 each, but now 2 for €7,99! (about $11).

I'm going to swatch all of these colors as soon as possible. I'm already wearing Sparrow Me The Drama (which I got as a Mothersday gift :) ) on my toenails, but I'm not sure if you guys want to see my feet :)

Until next time!

Love,
Kim

BM16 & Dior Vernis Pink Porcelain

Hi everyone!

Today I would like to show you the latest manicure I'm wearing: Dior Vernis Pink Porcelain & BundleMonster plate 16. Yes, I'm still wearing Pink Porcelain! I don't know if it's because of the quality of the Dior polish, or because of my new CND Stickey Base Coat, but this manicure seems to last forever! :)

It began to bore me a little, so I tried this BundleMonster plate no. 16 for the first time...

Base: Dior Vernis Pink Porcelain (about 3 to 4 coats, on some nails)
Stamping: White stamping polish from Backscratchers
Topcoat: Seche Vite

Because my nails are too long, and also a bit too wide, for the small BundleMonster full images, I double stamped each nail (I stamped horizontally, and with this image, it works and doesn't really show).

For about a month ago, I ordered 3 bottles of stamping polish from Beautiful Scratchers. I saw some pictures on another blog with very opaque white stamping results, so I thought: must try them!
This was the first time I tried them, so can't really tell if they're really that opaque as I thought they would be. I must try them on a darker base color.

I like this manicure, and I'm already wearing it for a couple of days...

I made the ring myself, and I'm so happy with it! :)

Have a great weekend!

Love,
Kim

New imageplates + review CND Stickey Basecoat and SolarOil

Hi!

A couple of days ago, I bought 2 new imageplates from Shirley (DashicaBeautyshop) to see if they work just as fine as the other plates I have, from MagnoNails, Konad, BundleMonster etc.

I bought these 2 plates:

SdP-A15, because of the 3 full images

SdP-D03, because of the full LOVE-image (okay, I like the Armani-logo too :) )

I haven't got time to try them, but I will soon...

I also bought a new basecoat from CND (Creative Nail Design) called: Stickey Base Coat.

WHAT IT IS:
A soft, sticky 3-free base coat for healthy nails.

WHAT IT DOES:
Anchors Colour to the nail to prevent peeling and chipping.

WHY YOU NEED IT:
• Improves nail Colour wearability.
• Helps prevent surface staining of natural nails and enhancements.
• 3-free formula does not contain Formaldehyde,Toluene or Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP).

And now a little review:

Because I'm a bit of a cheater (I always wear acrylics on my own nails), my colleague tested this basecoat on her real nails, to see if all the above is true... With OPI polishes, she's always experiencing chipping after just a couple of days (2 or 3). So this time she put on 1 coat of CND Stickey Base Coat, 2 coats of her regular OPI polish, and 1 coat of Seche Vite fast drying top coat.

And guess what...?

Her manicures lasted for (at least) 5 days, without any chipping or tipwear!
She eventually removed her polish because she wanted a different color. But the manicure was still looking fine! That's good news, isn't it? I bought CND Stickey Base Coat 68 ml/2.3 fl. oz for $12,99 + $5,99 shipping to The Netherlands (total €13,50 incl. shipping).

I also bought a new bottle of CND Solar Oil, because of my acrylic nails...

WHAT IT IS:
A synergistic blend of naturally light oils and Vitamin E, designed to deeply penetrate and protect skin and nails.

WHAT IT DOES:
Jojoba Oil carries Vitamin E deeply into skin to help reduce visible signs of aging. Naturally light oils keep skin soft and supple. Keeps natural nails, nail color and nail enhancements tough and flexible. Repeated use drives oils deeper into natural nail.

WHY YOU NEED IT:
Super-penetrating formula conditions skin and nails.

If you have acrylic nails like I do, it's a must to keep your natural nails and cuticles in a good condition.
And this oil works wonders!

I got this bottle of 15 ml/0.5 fl. oz. of Ebay and paid $5,95 + $3,50 shipping to The Netherlands (total €6,40 incl. shipping).

Okay, that's about it... I just wanted to share these products with you guys!

Are you familiar with Shirley's plates??

Love,
Kim
