Foil manicure: Snakeskin

Hi girls,

Today not a polish but a foil manicure...

Basecolor: Color Club French Tip (white)
Foil: Snakeskin
Topcoat: Essence Nail Art Sealing Top Coat

This foil was a bit hard to work with... It wrinkled a bit while applying, but fortunately it doesn't show on my nails...

There are some bold spots, and unfortunately the foil crackled a bit when I applied my topcoat.

But after all, I think it is extraordinairy and I like this for wearing in the weekend (it's not really office-proof if you ask me.)

This is definitely not my best foil manicure, but like I said before, this type of foil was a bit hard to work with imo.

I don't know about you guys, but I like this type of foil manicures better than the real DIY Snakeskin-manicure. Have you ever seen it?

Watch this:

This is real snakeskin... Glued on nails... Isn't that weird and a bit disgusting too?

What do you think about this manicure? Which one do you prefer?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I like both the foil and the real snakeskin. The foil is easy to apply and remove. The snakeskin must be difficult to apply and remove but I like the texture and that it is real. I would go for the real snakeskin if the skin was shed naturally by the snake, that way, it will not only look good but I will feel good because it is cruelty free.

  2. Thanks, Bunny nails, for you comment.

I guess you're right... I wouldn't want a snakeskin manicure if the snake only dies for that purpose. I think that's a bit creepy...

A cow is killed for many purposes (meat, leather etc.) so I can live with that. But killing a snake only for the skin... Neh...
