My bare naked nails...

Hi girls,

Long time ago, I know...

I decided to take a polish break, because I now have polished my nails for about a year, non stop!

And now my nails look ughhhh...

So a break was really nessesary.

Here are my bare naked nails... (yikes! I'm a bit scared to show them!)

I took black and white pictures, because fullcolour would hurt your eyes :)
No seriously... my nails are quite yellow, so does anyone has the golden tip to get rid of those ugly stained nails? No peroxide please!

A day in the life of...

I don't know if you're going to like this post, but I'm taking the risk :)

Lately I didn't have much time to polish properly, shoot pictures, blog about it etc. so I just wanted to give you a little peek in my life...

I'm wearing Essence Cool and The Gang (a blue jelly)

The view from our new house... Fall has entered... Isn't it pretty?

 I like to "design" sometimes and I'm really having fun doing it :D

It's so cool to customize sets in your own style... 

This is sooo my style!

My little princess' first time to the dentist... She was so cool... 

Not scared at all (although the picture shows something else, hihi!)

She got a big compliment about her pretty and clean teeth and a big sticker :D

Noooooo... my first parking ticket ever... :(

Bummer!! €55,-! 

I could have bought a lot of polishes for that money!

A pretty bouquet I got from my neighbour because I arranged the 10th birthday party of her daughter. 

It was a nailpolish/stampingparty for 8 girls. So cute and funny to see how they were having a hard time picking colours and designs... :D

Catrice UpperWILDside (Limited Edition)

Hi girls,

Yes... I fixed my lightbox, so I can take proper pictures again...

Today I have a limited edition Catrice polish to show you...

Catrice UpperWILDSide (Limited Edition)

UpperWILDSide is a vibrant orange, kind of silky, polish... The caps says "Suede effect" but I don't really think this is suede-like...

 I don't know if it's me, but I find this polish a bit on the sheer side, so I applied three (!) coats (no topcoat to see what the effect would look like).

I normally hate and throw away polishes that acquire 3 coats, but with 2 there was still VNL showing. But, as you can see, I'm not used to apply 3 coats and wait for it to dry, so I bumped my pinkynail while setting up my lightbox and camera :( #bummer

Overall... this is not really my colour and I actually don't like it either... Maybe with tigerstripes (yesterday I said the same about another Catrice polish!) but just plain like this... no...

What are your thoughts about this LE?

Catrice Oh My Goldness...

Hi girls,

A shorty for today...

Catrice Oh My Goldness

Oh My Goldness is a yellow/bronze golden foil polish. I'm wearing two coats here and one coat of INM out the door topcoat. Oh My Goldness is opaque in two thin layers.

I'm wearing this polish for two days at the picture, so there is already a little tipwear showing.

This is a typical "love it in the bottle, hate it on my hands"-polish... :(

Maybe with some stamping over it, it's more my cup of tea... I was thinking about leopard of tiger-stripes...

What are your thoughts about this colour? Like it or not?

Revisited: Zoya Maura

Hi girls!

Today I'm wearing Zoya Maura, and I've swatched it before (click!), but when I was wearing acrylics, so I wanted to swatch it again on my natural nails... So here it is:

Zoya Maura

Zoya Maura is a tomato red crème polish. The application is superb! I'm wearing two coats here, with one coat of INM Out The Door topcoat. 

Normally I don't wear red, but I've got myself a new red skinny jeans, and so I came up with matching this with Maura.

What do you think about Zoya Maura? Like it or not?

Icy Princess

Hi girls,

I'm making myself a new lightbox, so soon I will be producing decent pictures again! :)

Meanwhile I made some phonepictures of a silver foil polish from Essence:

Essence Icy Princess

Essence Icy Princess is a silver foil polish which is opaque in two coats. Essence has changed the layout of the bottles into rounder, with a more solid cap. The polish contains 8 ml now instead of 5 ml and, ofcourse, does cost a bit more now (but they're still very, very cheap!).

Old bottle (5 ml)

New bottle (8 ml)

Please don't mind my cuticles, they look horrible at the moment, but working on that! :)

Normally I'm not really into foil, metallic and frost finishes, but I kind of like this one... Maybe because of the silver color. I planned to stamp over it, but I was a bit busy at the weekend so I didn't have much time to do so.

Would you wear Icy Princess?
