Simple French Manicure...

Hi girls,

Today I have a simple French Manicure to show you...

Phone picture

I achieved this manicure with a French Manicure set from Essence:

I've bought this set about 10 years ago, I think, and I liked it so much, that I immediately bought two more back up-sets. The white polish in this little set is very good to make French tips with! These bottles contain 5 ml and the set was available in a milky pink (way more pastel and less pink then showed in the picture above!) and in a peachy set. I don't exactly remember how much this set was, but it couldn't be more than €3,99.

Ofcourse I used a basecoat, my favorite, Orly Nailtrition!

It actually is a nailhardener, but I always use it as a basecoat. It works wonders, I really have tried a lot of hardeners, but this is my alltime favorite!

BTW: Did you noticed my nails are a lot shorter??

Here's what happened...

I've accidentally cut my nail with a razorblade...! Such a big chunk out of my middle nail!
And it's my lefty, my photo-hand! Ohh nooooo... !

So yeah... I had to file them way shorter :(
In the 1st picture you still can see a little dent, but hopefully they soon grow a bit longer.

Do you like the simple and plain French Manicure?

Thanks for dropping by!

My first gradient manicure!

Hi girls!

I'm a bit late, I know, but after seeing all those beautiful gradient manicures, I started to wonder if I was able to do such a pretty manicure myself...

Let's take a look...

Basecolor: Color Club Where's The Soirée
Sponging color: China Glaze Recycle
Topcoat: INM Out The Door

China Glaze Recycle + Color Club Where's The Soirée

I was surprised about the result and  how easy it is to achieve this look! :)

I'm very happy with the result and can't wait to try this with other colors!

What do you think about this first try?

Essence - I ♥ Berlin

Hi girls!

Today I want to show you an older polish which I have in my stash for quite a while:

Essence - Love This City from the I ♥ Berlin-collection, some time ago...

Essence - Love This City

Essence - Love This City is a pink crème with a peachy undertone, so in some light it tends to be a bit coral. The formula is okay; not too thick, not too thin and the drying time was also regular (for me a big plus, because I always polish my nails right before I go to bed :) ) I'm wearing two coats here...

I've got a lot of compliments about the color of this polish, but I couldn't get used to this color.
I guess I'm more of a "pink"-type, and this color is a bit in between...

Unfortunately I chipped my left pointerfinger after wearing this color for only 1 day, but that's because my nail got stuck and bended... My fault, not the polish's :)

I don't know, I'm not really fond of this color... Strange enough, the polish looks more pink in the bottle than it does on my nails! Too bad...

Oh... I have an Instagram picture which I wanted to share with you...

My 3-year old princess... She just sat down on the couch to watch "Dora", so she finally sat still and I took my chance to shoot this picture with my Samsung Galaxy S2-phone...

I think it came out so nice... ♥

Well, that was about it... I hope you liked this post!

Thanks for watching!

Fancy Fuchsia

Hi girls!

Hope you're all doing well... I am!

Today is a shorty...

Orly Fancy Fuchsia (2 coats)

I don't know if it's just me, but the consistency of this polish is a bit weird... It's super opaque but also very thick and blobby... Quite hard to work with actually! But it does even out on the nails a bit. I was a bit in a hurry, so this is definitely not the best polishing (I was on my way to a birthdayparty but HAD to paint my nails, so this is the result, hihi!)

Fancy Fuchsia is a very pretty (almost) neon pink, so a bit hard to capture with a camera (or actually this time with my new phone: Samsung Galaxy S2) but I think almost everyone in blogland does know how pretty pink this color in real life is...  I really ♥ this pink and I'm enjoying wearing this for 2 days (but now it's a bit chipping, unfortunately, because I would have worn it longer if I could :)

Do you have Fancy Fuchsia in your stash?

Thanks for stopping by!

Nailart inspiration - Part II

Hi girls,

It's been a while, but I have good news about our houses:
1) Our house is sold to our best friend! Yeeey!
2) We've bought a new house and that's also definite!

So we're very happy this stressful period is over now. Let's start the shopping....  :)

Today I want to show you some very nice inspirational nailarts in random order (which, for the record, are not mine! :) )

Where's The Soirée?

Hi girls,

Today I want to show you one of my favorite black polishes on this earth:

Color Club Where's The Soirée?

Here, I'm wearing only one coat! Where's The Soirée is extremely pigmented and creamy, so it's very suitable for stamping too. Although I prefer Wet 'n Wild Black Crème for stamping, that's another black polish which is a tad more pigmented imo...

Nothing new, I know, but I realised that I've never swatched a black polish before, so here you go! :)

:)

I don't know what it is, but I just ♥ black nailpolish... Everytime I wear it I realize how much I love it and that I should wear it more often :)

Do you wear black polish on it's own? Or only with some nailart on it?

Thanks for stopping by!

1 + 1 gratis make-up bij het Kruidvat!

Hi girls!

Hope you're all doing fine... I'm still busy with our house and thinking about what to buy for the 3rd birthdayparty of our daughter :)

A short post today, mostly meant for my Dutch readers: Kruidvat, my local beautysupplier, has a great discount/offer:

Now a little Dutch part:

Jeeej! Alle make up is op vrijdag 13 en zaterdag 14 april 1 + 1 gratis!
