BabyBoom nails...

Hi!

One of the most pretty manicures -in my opinion-, are the BabyBoom nails...

Back in the old days, we wore French Manicures very often, which were always suitable for all kinds of occasions. Now the hard french lines are passed and the BabyBoom nails have taken their place.

BabyBoom Nails are "the New French Nails", they are just as 'clean and fresh' with their pretty pink and white colors, but the lines have faded and are much softer.

There are different ways to achieve this look. You can use gel, acrylics, polygel, gelpolish, pigments, gelpaints and even an airbrush.

I like the look of these sets... I think it looks chique and fresh and it matches probably everything. You can wear this with an evening dress, but it also suits sneakers and jeans; that's very handy!

French Pedicure...

Hi!

My Summerfeet are often just plane French Manicure, or actually French Pedi-toes :)

I think French Pedicure is always nice on toes, because it looks clean, fresh and pretty.

I had to remove my old gelpolish first, so at the picture above I'm soaking it off with gelpolish remover. 

I often use regular nailpolish on my toes, because I have A LOT of nailpolishes in my stash (around 700, then I stopped counting :) ) but when I go on Holiday, I prefer gelpolish on my toes.

It's stays better in the sea- and swimmingpool water, in the sand on the beach etc. and the shine is longlasting.

And here we have a new fresh set of toenails again :)

Matte Babyboom (gel) nails

Hi!

Because I didn't have much time and I liked my recent "Babyboom" gelnails quite a lot, I did this...

... I buffed them matte with a white block and tadaaa... :)

They're good to go for a couple of days! This way you can cheat a little by filing the outgrowth a bit, so it doesn't stand out that much...

Yes... I have a right hand too ;)

I  always wear "shiny" nails (topcoated) but I must say that matte nails aren't that bad :)

Babyboom (gel) nails

I have something different to show you today...

These are my first "Babyboom" gelnails... :)

These are my natural nails covered with a couple of layers of gel. They call this "overlay".

It's a great way to strengthen your natural nails!

Babyboom nails are a sort of french manicure nails -you know; the pink and white nails which always look so clean and fresh- but with another twist this time.

The key is to fade the pink and white a bit, and to avoid to get "hard lines".
It is tough to achieve this effect with gel, but I think I managed it pretty well...
I quite liked these nails!

Here my nails are already a bit growing out.. They grow so fast! :(

And this picture is only two weeks after I did my nails... They really grow fast and need a refill...
Ah well, time for a design change! ;)
